I was given the opportunity to have media access to the annual Indie Week music festival which has grown to be a popular event for bands all across the world. Indie music has shown strong influence in Canada and will likely continue to keep progressing into an even larger event with bigger venues and more bands. I saw three bands at the Velvet Underground on Friday; The Years, Atlantis Blueprint, and The Black Napalese. All of which played great shows but Atlantis Blueprint ended up going through to the next round of eliminations. I fully plan on going back to this event next year to experience what REAL new music has to offer, thanks to all of you who planned this event.
